Hello CKS Families
Okay, now I know we are in a strange situation with COVID-19 and all the things that we need to do to stay safe, but is it fair that nature decided that we need snow in the middle of May? For Mother’s Day?
I hope you are all doing well. It is hard to believe that we have not had in-person instruction since March 18th! I know many of you are asking if we will be able to have students return to school for this year. I cannot say if we will or will not, I know that the guidance that we have received from Bishop Coyne as follows:
Catholic schools will continue to follow the governor’s directive relative to schools and monitor the situation. The students in the Catholic Schools will return to our school buildings for in-person instruction once the Governor’s Pre-K – 12 dismissal order is lifted. The safety and well-being of our families and that of all Vermonters is our top priority.
During the Governor’s dismissal order, Catholic schools remain open as an on-line/home based school system and they continue to provide an excellent education to their students.
We will continue to do what we have been doing since March 18th, to provide daily instruction to all of the students until the end of our school year on June 12, 2020. As for our graduating Eighth Graders, we are working on several avenues, but have not committed to one as yet.
I thank you for your support and patience during this time of uncertainty.
