Middle School: Mrs. Amy Wright
Hello, I’m Mrs. Wright. I have a 7th grade homeroom and teach Science and Social Studies to Middle School students. I’m a flatlander by birth but have lived in Middletown Springs for 30 years. I have 3 grown children. My husband and I keep busy with running, kayaking, skiing and other outside activities.
I am enjoying my seventh year at CKS and I want to help my students to develop a biblical world view. It’s exciting to see history as the unfolding of God’s plan and science as the visual display of God’s creative process. We need to help our students build a framework for a successful spiritual life.
November 2009
Dear Middleschool Parents,
We are in the midst of some interesting subjects. We are looking into Astronomy and the inside workings of the cell in Science. You could say from the bigness of life to the smallness. And all under God’s great care. Thank you for allowing me to have a part in your children’s lives. They are wonderful children.
All students now have a workable science fair idea and need to be working on their projects at home. I will include the schedule at the end of this letter. I’m looking forward to some more wonderful (and prize winning) science fair projects this year. We will again be having the earlier date for the science fair so students can go on to the state competition!
As a coordinated project between Social Studies and History, the eighth grade is studying the time leading up to the Civil War. As they begin to understand this complex time in our history, they will be better able to write their Lincoln essays. The seventh grade has “traveled” through Canada and is moving into Mexico. Ask them about the differences in weather and climate between Mexico and home as the month progresses.
With best wishes as we head into this holiday season,
Mrs. Wright
