Hello Christ the King 7th and 8th grade students and parents!
We hope you have a wonderful summer, getting plenty of rest and having lots of fun. Can you believe that school is over? Even though we will enjoy our summer vacation, we are looking forward to seeing you all in the fall. As we begin to get our classrooms in shape, we are thinking ahead about what you will need for classroom supplies. We have composed a list of supplies that you will need for the school year and hope that it will assist you with your school shopping ventures.
General Supplies To be collected by homeroom teacher and shared among classes:
2 boxes #2 pencils 1 box tissues
1 package pens (blue, black, red and green)
3 packages college ruled lined white paper
4 packs index cards (3X5) 1 box colored marker
1 roll of paper towels 2 glue sticks
2 glue sticks
$5.00 to purchase a planner. It is important that each student have the same planner. It helps keep open communication between parents and teachers. They keep everyone on track and informed with assignments and activities that occur at school.
7th Grade - 1container Clorox wipes
1 pair scissors
8th Grade – 1 bottle hand sanitizer
2 rulers with inches and centimeters
Supplies needed for specific subjects:
Religion: 1 composition book
Language Arts: 1 basic 1″ 3 ring binder with 5 dividers, and 2 2-pocket folders, 1 composition book
Math: A calculator with a fraction key (A b/c), 4 dividers, protractor, 1″ bendable binder
Science: 2″ 3 ring binder for both science and SS, composition notebook (please no spiral bound notebooks), $2 for New York Times Tuesday paper, colored pencils, 1 package graph paper
7th remember to bring in your leaves and seeds the first day of school. 8th, we will be collecting the 10 rock sweep collection on the first day
French: 2″ binder with a set of dividers. Over the summer keep your eyes open for any French you may encounter around you. Please bring these items in to share on the first day of school
Social Studies: $2 for God’s World News
Music and Art: please see letter from Sr. Cindy
