Middle School: Mrs. Mary Guggenberger
My name is Mrs. Mary Guggenberger and this will be my seventh year teaching at Christ the King School. This year I will be teaching Language Arts. I have lived in Vermont all of my life and now live in Clarendon with my husband and two children. I love to be outdoors and enjoy many sports, including running, biking, skiing, and snowboarding. I get very excited when the first snow arrives for the winter season because it means that my family and I will be spending time together on the slopes.
CLASS NEWS
Eight grade students are working diligently on the Hildene essay. This essay has required them to dig through research in order to determine why Abraham Lincoln responded to a letter written by Horace Greeley and published in the New York Tribune in 1862. Mrs. Wright, Mrs. Millard, and myself chaperoned a trip to Hildene in Manchester in order for the students to learn more about the Lincoln family. We are looking forward to finishing the essays and waiting to hear about the results of the contest!
Seventh grade students are busy learning about the many different ways in which civil rights are established in our lives. By researching the past and understanding how it affects our lives now, students are acquiring a new appreciation for the world we now live in.
