Christ the King

Hi, my name is Sandra Carpenter. The school year 2009-2010 will be my tenth year teaching Kindergarten at CKS (I’ve also taught first grade here for two years). I live in Rutland with my husband Tom, just down the street from the school as a matter of fact. We have two daughters, Melissa & Sara who attended and graduated from CKS, a son-in-law, Tony,  and a beautiful grandson, Caleb,  who has become the light of our lives! When I’m not in school I like to spend time at our family’s lake house in Massachusetts, read, knit, scrapbook, and most importantly, spend time with my family.

I look forward to this new school year as I do every year! I absolutely love spending my days with your 5 and 6 year olds – they are so sweet and innocent. Funny, too! I realize that its not always easy for young children and their parents to be apart for the better part of a day, so I try to make sure that each child feels safe and secure, loved and respected in my classroom. Uppermost in my mind is that each little person in my room is someone’s beloved child who deserves nothing but my best.
