Third Grade: Mrs. Christine Cirelli

Hi, my name is Christine Cirelli, and I am the third grade teacher at Christ the King School. I have been fortunate to spend most of my life in the beautiful state of Vermont. I am married with two children and a dog. I come from a family of educators and athletes, so when I am not in the classroom, I am usually at a field, pool or mountain cheering on my family members.
I am beginning my ninth year of teaching at Christ the King. I have especially enjoyed third grade because the children bring so much enthusiasm to school with them. We get excited about cursive writing, multiplication, and great literature! Christ the King School is a wonderful environment in which to be both a teacher and a student!
The 3rd grade did some community service in December by visiting Haven Healthcare in Rutland and singing some Christmas songs and delivering cards.

Third graders present the play “Damon and Pythias” after reading the story in language arts. Enjoy the pictures.

Townspeople discuss the fate of Damon and Pythias.

Damon is brought before the evil, tyrant king.
Third Grade News
December:
In December, Mrs. Hackett’s class was studying simple machines in science class. We did an experiment using a giant lever and fulcrum and we were lifting each other. It was so fun! We are doing fun stories in Language Arts. Our first writing project was an autobiography. They were fun! This week we went to the nursing home. We sang to the people in the nursing home. It was fun to make people smile.
