Second Grade: Mrs. Alanna Greene
Grade 2: Mrs. Alanna Greene
I have a BA in English from Fordham University, School of Education and a MS in Education from Fordham University, Graduate School of Education. I have a genuine love of teaching and the enthusiasm, energy, and patience to work with, teach and learn from my students. I provide a warm, supportive and responsive school environment. I strive to maintain a successful parent/teacher relationship because when we work together everyone benefits. It always has been my personal belief that Catholic Schools educate the entire child – spiritually and intellectually. My educational foundation developed in this system of education as did my husband’s and our two daughters’. Our system of education encourages the individual to demonstrate his/her belief in God by serving the needs of others and by giving back to society for the greater good.
My goal of engaging and meeting the needs of all students is a continuing process in which there is always room for growth and reevaluation. Every group of students and or situation present a new set of variables that challenge one to reflect and develop a new plan of action. It is exciting, as I begin my thirteenth year at CKS, to adapt my methods and approaches to reach all the ability levels and learning styles of my students and to witness their successes.
